Rebuilding Families® is about raising up families who are committed to making home a safe place—a place where wholesome values are spoken and love is felt. To begin to rebuild we must first get real with one another about what has been broken. Perhaps there has been a divorce or a death in the family. Maybe trust has been damaged or finances lay in ruin.
The simplest way to understand the concept of a family breach is to think back to 2005 when the levee broke in New Orleans during Hurricane Katrina. The wall of trust, the levee that was supposed to keep the residents of the city safe, did not hold fast in the drenching rains and supersized winds. All across America we watched in disbelief as the filthy waters of Lake Ponchetrain poured their devastation into the city below.
Rebuilding Families® is meant to serve you as a resource where bricks of harmony, mortar of acceptance, and lots of other strong materials fashioned for the sole purpose of renovating the old ruins are yours for the taking. Wouldn't you like to be known as a man or woman who repairs the breach and restores the streets and makes the community livable again? According to Isaiah 58:12 (our theme verse), that goal is very possible and attainable for your family.
