June 2014

I think back many years to the end of the school year and how I much I looked forward to the summer months. One thing that sticks out is that the days were not real structured or full of activity. There was plenty of time to imagine and create my own kind of fun on our eighteen acres. Books were read, rocks collected, trees climbed, Kool-aid with neighbors, fish rescued, and pictures drawn, just to name a few. Often my siblings were a part of the fun, too, but not always. Please don’t let the gift of imagination be lost. This month’s challenge to all of you is that deliberate time will be set aside for your children to experience imagination.

Proverbs 20:4 NIV May He give you the desire of your heart and make all your plans succeed.
