Love is the one thing that always wins.
“Of all earthly music that which reaches farthest into heaven is the music of a loving heart.” — Tennyson
“Love sacrifices all things to bless the thing it loves.” — Lytton, Lady of Lyons
If love really wins, why do so many of us struggle to feel loved? Perhaps we’ve forgotten how to bless each other.
Love that wins will:
- Accept one another without strings attached. All of us are perfectly imperfect. Roll with it.
- Listen to understand what the heart is saying. Confide in each other. Keep a confidence.
- Exercise meaningful touch: smile, hold hands, sit together, hug, share intimate moments, give high fives, or wipe away a tear.
- Appreciate solving problems together. Teamwork bonds us together and leads to a happier, agreed-upon outcomes.
- Remember to laugh. Laughter is good medicine and we all need a daily dose.
- Pray for, and with, loved ones. When prayer is our go-to move, it speaks loudly about God’s role as our protector and provider.
- Play together. Plan fun activities and create plenty of memories that reinforce why love always wins.
John 13:34 (NIV) “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.” [Jesus]
