Money is spoken of in the Bible more than any other subject including love and prayer. There are more than 2300 verses! God knew we would need godly counsel in order to manage our money well. He also knew, unless wisdom was found, the heart of mankind would be easily drawn to what money can buy, the glitz and the glam—the pleasures or the get-rich-quick schemes of the world we live in, whether it is good for us or not.
I spent most of my adult career as a Certified Public Accountant in private practice. In my growing up years in Boston, money equalled power and respect. Naturally, I wanted more and more of each and was driven to accomplish that goal. After giving my heart to Christ in 1983, I began to learn about money from God's perspective. By 1990 I was ready to help others become financially free. So many people were struggling with money problems that could be resolved if only they were given a plan to work with. They didn't have to keep on making the same mistakes. They could be taught to be good managers of their God-given resources. Financial foundations could be rebuilt to reflect wise choices.
My prayer is that the Money Talk you find on this website will be very easy to grasp and give you enough perseverance to change what needs to change, to clear out the financial debris, so you can lay down a solid financial foundation for your family's future. Remember, we are all legacy building—one day at a time. With God's help we will accomplish His purposes for our family's wise use of money and pass those principles along to our children.
