The summer season is a great time to slow the pace. And that’s what I’m doing this year.
Slow the Pace for Summer
Thank you in advance for understanding. Maybe your summer is in a similar place. It’s time to give myself permission to enjoy more family and friends and less blog posting. For that reason, I will post once a month during the summer and then resume the weekly postings after Labor Day.
Meanwhile, enjoy your summer months to the fullest. There are many resources to be found and utilized at www.rebuildingfamilies.net and many amazing archived interviews to listen to at www.blogtalkradio.com/krvr .
Activities to Enjoy
Explore the state parks. They have hiking trails and sometimes learning centers, too. Some have water activities and camper programs. Why not see how many your family can visit this summer?
Volunteer. Reach out to those in need. Opportunities to volunteer are found at a senior centers, church missions, or part of a neighborhood project. There are lots of needs to be met and quite often not enough helping hands.
My Prayer
It is my prayer that you are fully blessed each and every day, fully convinced that your hope comes from our Lord Jesus Christ and His unfailing love for you. Memorizing the below verse will help you bring that truth to mind when a rough day comes along.
Romans 8:39 (NIV) Neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
God bless you during this season,
Maxine
Ahhh, what a great reminder! I’ll join you in slowing down. Thanks!
I’ll enjoy the company as we slow the pace a bit. Thanks for the affirmation.
