December awakens the sights and smells of Christmas. It’s a wonderful time of year. It also adds busyness to our days as we think of gift giving, tree trimming, and cards to send to family and friends. let’s take time to also breathe in the real Spirit of the season. We only celebrate Christmas because of Jesus’s birth. He’s truly the reason for the hoopla. Is Jesus in your Christmas? Do your children know the story of His birth? This month offers many ways to come alongside the real theme of Christmas. There are giving trees, full of ornaments with names on them, in churches and community buildings for those in need. There are music events and theater presentations to attend. And this is a great time to read the story of Christ’s birth aloud.
